Publish Story's Data Mapping feature imports and organizes content in Static, URL Driven, and Associated ways based on priority, hierarchy, and tags.
Data Mapping:
Import content, you created in the Authoring module, in a breeze with data mapping by Mapping type parameters such as priority, hierarchy and tag search. Choose if you want to import an Article, Video, Slideshow, Webstory or Podcast whatever perfectly aligns with website components.
Mapping type:
Static: Content remains unchanged across the website.
URL Driven: Content is driven from the same section of the current page.
Associated: Content displays the relevant parent component based on the selected attribute.
Data Mapping Sorting:
It’s important to understand mapping types to get control over displaying content order.
1. Hierarchy: Maps latest published content first
2. Priority: Maps content according to custom priority set by the user
3. Combo Priority: Maps multiple section contents according to custom priority set by the user.
(If Section A has Priority Content 1,2,3,4 and Section B has Priority Content 5,6,7,8, then mapping sections A and B in the combo hierarchy will map content in the order: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8).
4. Leaf Hierarchy: Maps content of all leaf (only endpoints) sections of the selected parent section from Hierarchy
5. Combo Hierarchy: Maps multiple section contents with the latest published content first section-wise.
(If Section A has Content 1,2,3,4 (Content 1 is the latest published and so on) and Section B has Priority Content 5,6,7,8 (Content 5 is the latest published and so on) then mapping section A and B in the combo hierarchy will map content in the order: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8).
6. Keyword Search: Maps relevant content based on keyword input of a content.
