Publish Story's Taxonomy leverages machine learning to suggest relevant tags based on content, offering a search function and hierarchical display for efficient tag selection by editorial teams.
Taxonomy Recommendation
Machine Learning model is used to identify the tone and broader categorization of the content based on Wikipedia Content. This base taxonomy is identified and mapped accordingly with the business-managed taxonomy tree. The platform recommends the taxonomy tree appropriate tags for the editorial team to choose based on story, title and hostId. The recommended tags are optimised to show only the deepest categorised node. For convenience, the whole hierarchy structure or parent ancestors is also shown on the UI to help the editorial team select the correct tag.
Taxonomy Suggestion
Users can search taxonomy trees based on tag name, alias or tag ID. Search supports the typeahead feature and a list of 10 taxonomy tags with details about the parent hierarchy is shown. Suggested tags are restricted based on the host.
