Publish Story's Taxonomy has strict governance to maintain its integrity, including a controlled process for tag creation and deletion, clear definitions, and validation rules to ensure accurate and consistent tagging.
Taxonomy Governance
The taxonomy tree will lose its essence and get diluted if not managed properly, hence the need for governance. The governance will be managed by the platform. Provisioning of addition and deletion of tags and the hierarchy should be provisioned with proper validation of existing tags already available. Addition and deletion requests for tags follow an approval process by the designated person or board (in the case of a company-level taxonomy). While creating a new tag, the hierarchy and the definition and intent to use to be properly defined and self-explanatory in a standard format so that it can be used by the editorial team without any additional effort.

- Only one tag should be selected out of a single branch/hierarchy.
- Users must resolve all conflicts before closing the panel.
